“Planting Creativity” is a project we plan to start in the “Garden of Light: A Garden  of Poetry, Music, Philosophy, and Cosmos” lying by Sognefjord in Norway from the summer of 2018. The idea of the garden is to bind together the inner planting and flowering of the creative mind with the planting and flowering we know from the biological world and thus build a “space” where the inner and the outer worlds would coexist as two supporting spheres of our earthly existence. While walking in the garden and enjoying the flowers and plants one may access the world of poetry, music, philosophy and cosmos through hand held mobiles phones by reading codes distributed in the garden. We opened this “Garden of Poetry, Music, Philosophy and Cosmos” in the summer of 2017.

“Planting Creativity” wishes to support the efforts of the creative minds to inspire the world (in the local and the global arena) in bringing forth fundamental changes in the social thinking and organization which would make the world a better place to live. The main idea hinges on the view that all human beings are parts of a universal cosmic being and they all share the faculties of this being (as exposed in the book “Journey of Tathagata” by Anup Rej). It views the journey of life as a wandering through a multi-layered reality which is a projection of the human mind while man wanders through many different levels of consciousness. Individual life is imprisoned in conditions decided by the natural and cultural surrounding where one is born and the possibilities of freedom available to one`s way of making the journey. This conditioned life decides one`s opportunities of transcendence towards higher freedom, which one may experience if one could free oneself from the dictates of the material state of the physical world acting as the captivator of life.

The creative power of the mind is the force which can break open the prison of the mind and set a process of redesigning the reality existing around one`s life. As said reality is multidimensional, which involves many aspects of consciousness starting from the desire for survival, reproduction and preservation of the group one belongs to, to the transcendental realm of freedom where mind is free from all material bondage. The conditions of life and the awareness and possibilities of freedom which may lie ahead decides the path which the individual may choose as one`s destiny of life. In “Tathagata`s Journey” the different path is described as the path leading to instinct-bound “Village Life”, path moving to the realm of the artists, musicians and poets, path leading to philosophical contemplative realm and cosmos, and path leading to the experience of all life as One with the Cosmic Being and identification of oneself with the whole. Conflicts and suffering in each realm, which one traverses, drives human mind to seek a higher path. Thus life moves from an instinct-bound sphere to an enlightened way.

Higher social evolution may be defined as the social order which can provide greater freedom and possibilities of gaining self-knowledge and the knowledge of the world with which individual may break the conditions in which one is confined in, and redesign reality to one`s own advantage of freedom and meaning, and search for a higher way.

We define creativity as the way to equip oneself with the power to free oneself and redesign one`s life according to one`s inner necessity. It is a path to personal development and a way to know oneself. Through creative activities one may come in touch with the realm of the mind which has not been explored earlier by the conscious mind. Thus one may discern path leading to more freedom and transcendence, and oneness with the whole.

Creativity also provides means to establish social order and harmony based on the knowledge of oneself as part of the whole. The conflicts which rage in societies are primarily conflicts between confinement and freedom, security against insecurity, self-fulfilment against oppression and negation of life. Societies based on primitive instincts, as in the “Village Life” in “Tathagata`s Journey”, would perpetuate war and competitions in all ages and time. With the changing conditions of history the hands of the rulers may change from one group to the other. However, unless the social foundation is lifted to a different understanding and knowledge of the human potential as bearer of a higher consciousness the history will remain bogged down in the same mud of conflicts and war.

“Planting Creativity” is a dream to create a cultural space where people may explore their power of creativity by accessing knowledge and awareness of the power which we all share with the universal “Cosmic Being” - Tathagata.

In order to realize this dream we plan to create two retreats: “Knowledge and Vision Retreat” and “Clutural Blooming Retreat”. Any one willing to explore the power of creativity  and desiring to inspire others with their creative interests is welcome to join the activities in the garden framed by universal symbols.
